The City of Ipswich Pipe Band is always on the lookout for new members who can contribute to the band both musically and strategically.
We are also keen to welcome members of community join our organisation through our $5 Social Membership program. By joining the band as a social member you can stay up to date with what's happening with the City of Ipswich Pipe Band and Greater Ipswich College of Piping and Drumming, participate and contribute to the band through volunteering opportunities, and receive exclusive discounts to band events and drink discounts at our in-house bar.

Process for Ordinary Members
New Ordinary Members: Once you complete this form you will be asked to sit down for a chat with one of our executive, to ensure that you understand and believe in our core values and strategic vision. Your membership application will then be voted on at the next management meeting. Ordinary membership is available for both players and non-players - in particular those non-players who want to contribute strategically to help us achieve our goals.
Existing Ordinary Members: The good news is, you are already in! But updating the information we have available for you is always important.
Payment: You can either pay now or pay offline. Once you have filled out the form you can click on the item above to make payment online. If you complete a form but do not complete payment online, you will receive an invoice for payment via EFT, cash, or cheque.
What happens with my membership fee: Compared to other pipe bands our membership fee is quite low. However, we have some significant expenses in running the band. Primarily your membership covers your insurance, the cost of running our hall, along with basic equipment expenses like reeds and drum skins.
